RADIOIRIEVIBES.COM is the "brainchild" and creation of Pamela Jones. She possesses more than 30 years of experience in Reggae music, promotions, bookings, and management. Her love for island music and culture, prompted her to start her own station. She has past experience in broadcasting, serving as a "fill-in" for the co-hostess on the famed radio show “The Reggae Beat"  with the notable Reggae historian and host Roger Steffens, on KCRW in Los Angeles. Later, she became the co-hostess to the award winning DJ & host OC Roberts, on the radio program "The Reggae Soundblast" in Detroit, on WDTR. After the station was sold in 2005, she started her own station in 2008 along with the  expertise from “Roots Rock International” an experienced veteran sound system in the Metro Detroit Area. Roots Rock started the station's first "live" Friday night show “Fire Fridays”  Since the station’s inception, the listenership and programming have grown rapidly with fans from every continent. Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Zouk, Kompa are showcased on the station 24 hours in addition to "live" shows. The  mission of the station  is to spread positive “irie vibes” through the music and culture of the Caribbean.
